TORONTO – Public broadcaster TVO announced Tuesday it has appointed Andrew Steele to the newly-created position of vice-president, strategy.
In this role, Steele will develop and implement corporate strategy, external relations and communications, and will work with all TVO departments to manage and communicate the strategic plan, drive and influence strategic decision-making, and lead external relations and communications.
Steele was most recently founding CEO of the Pecaut Centre for Social Impact, working with the Boston Consulting Group, Cossette, Ernst and Young, McCarthy Tétrault and others to develop and implement growth strategies for leading non-profits. Previously, he worked as a strategy consultant and as senior advisor to the Premier of Ontario.
Steele also writes a regular column for The Globe and Mail's digital media platform and sits on the board of the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.
