Mindell elevated to VP of TV programming, content, at Rogers Media

TORONTO – Rogers Media has promoted Hayden Mindell to the newly created role of vice president of television programming & content, Rogers Media, effective immediately.

Mindell (pictured) joined Rogers in 2001 and was most recently director of programming & general manager for specialties under Malcolm Dunlop, who has since left the company.  As Cartt.ca noted last month, this new role will see Mindell responsible for the programming and multiplatform strategy for all non-sports Rogers Media television assets (City, FX Canada, OLN, OMNI Television, G4, and BIO), plus oversee the submission, development, and production of original Canadian programming for all Rogers Media non-sports television brands.  He will also serve as a key member of Rogers Media's Broadcast Cabinet management team.

“Hayden is one of the industry's sharpest and most strategic programming executives. During his tenure, City and the Rogers Media specialty channels have grown to compete amongst the nation's top networks," said Scott Moore, Rogers Media president, broadcast, in the announcement.  "Hayden has a unique combination of programming expertise, multiplatform vision, and business acumen. He will provide great leadership in an ever-changing broadcast environment in Canada."
