PERHAPS UNSURPRISINGLY, most global wireless consumers still use their phones to talk, rather than text or email, a new study has found. According to a poll of 18,002 adults in 24 countries conducted by Ipsos OTX (Open Thinking Exchange), six in ten (61%) respondents indicate they most often call when wanting to communicate with someone by phone, while three in ten (32%) text them and 7% email them.
