Stingray’s karaoke TV app now on AT&T U-verse

MONTREAL and DALLAS – AT&T U-verse’s shower-crooning subscribers can now move their singing out of the bathroom and into the family room thanks to today's launch of a new interactive karaoke TV app from Stingray Digital.

Available on U-verse TV channel 96,  the interactive Karaoke TV App makes more than 8,000 karaoke songs available to AT&T U-verse TV and High Speed Internet customers.

This app, for which Stringray Digital won Best Entertainment Application at the 2012 International ITV Awards, features an intuitive menu navigation which makes songs easy to find.

A full screen mode provides the ultimate karaoke experience, and customers have the option of singing solo or along with a vocal track. Thematic playlists, like Party Songs, Guy Songs, Girl Songs, Easy and Fun Songs, Love Songs and other lists, are included to help customers start singing quickly. Songs can be queued up to keep singers performing without pausing between songs.

“We are honored that AT&T has chosen to offer this interactive karaoke app to their customers,” said Stingray Digital president and CEO Eric Boyko in a release. “As of today, AT&T customers can enjoy the best karaoke experience available on TV: high-quality karaoke videos displayed on TV with the song library, features and convenience that U-verse TV allows via Internet streaming.”

U-verse TV customers with U-verse High Speed internet can try out the app for free by tuning to channel 96 and selecting one of the free full-length songs or view other samples. The app is available for $10 a month, and new songs are regularly added.
