SHERBROOKE, QC – Bell was announced Thursday as the media sponsor of the 2013 Canada Summer Games, the country’s largest multisport competition that will take place August 2 to 17.
Bell-owned networks RDS and TSN are the official broadcasters of the Canada Summer Games – Sherbrooke 2013, providing 40 hours of coverage on RDS and RDS2 and on TSN and TSN2 and online coverage on RDS.ca and TSN.ca.
In addition to contributing production and broadcasting resources, wireless and Internet services, Bell is also the main presenter of the swimming events and co-presenter of the basketball and soccer competitions, as well as an associated partner of the blog squad.

Bell’s major accomplishments and social commitment also represent a source of inspiration for the young athletes who need models of success,” said Tom Allen, chair of the board and executive committee of the Canada Summer Games, in a release.
The opening ceremony of the Canada Summer Games will be broadcast live on RDS and TSN2 on August 2 at 7 p.m. EST, as well as on Bell radio stations in Sherbrooke, NRJ 106.1 and 102.7 Rouge FM. Bell Media radio stations nationwide will broadcast exclusive bulletins on the Canada Games competitions twice daily.
The event will see about 4,000 athletes from all over Canada compete for top honours in 20 sports discplines.
