Rogers Media providing “all-access” pass to 2012 TIFF


TORONTO – Rogers Media is promising its viewers, readers and listeners an all-access pass to the “must-see moments of the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).” 

TIFF fans can wake up to Breakfast Television (BT), for the day’s first news on all of TIFF’s late-night events. And on September 7th BT will broadcast from the Ritz-Carlton Toronto and co-host Dina Pugliese reports live from TIFF central.

Citytv’s dedicated TIFF team of Mary Kitchen, Dina Pugliese, and Melanie Ng will keep viewers up-to-date on all festival happenings. Their festival coverage can be seen throughout TIFF during Entertainment City segments on CityNews.   Entertainment City on CityNews will broadcast live daily throughout TIFF on CityNews Channel, CityNews at Five, CityNews at Six, and on CityNews Tonight.

New this year is the Citytv/Your World This Week Lounge at the InterContinental that will host some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Interviews will be aired on Rogers Digital Channel 1, Citytv, and online at Rogersondemand.ca.

Also new this year is TIFF After Dark on CityNews.ca, a video series highlighting evening galas, after-parties, star-spotting fans, photo galleries, an interactive map of TIFF hotspots, and the best locations for stargazing.

OMNI Television’s team of Veronica Chail, Mohit Rajhans, and Sushmitha Rao will provide exclusive access to the best and brightest of South Asian cinema, with daily reports on OMNI News: South Asian Edition at 8 p.m. ET. Bollywood Boulevard will also broadcast two special TIFF episodes on September 9 and 16 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Toronto’s 680News will keep listeners informed throughout TIFF with reports from entertainment editor Gloria Martin and music reporter, Rudy Blair.
