SiriusXM Canada readies new features, apps, pricing

TORONTO – SiriusXM Canada is gearing up to launch new features – and new pricing – for its subscribers this fall.

The satellite radio company will rollout SiriusXM 2.0 which it says will include ‘best of’ programming.  In addition, its website has been redesigned to incorporate Facebook and Twitter, plus integrates and streamlines the service’s presentation in preparation for new apps for the iPhone, iPad and Android mobile platforms when SiriusXM 2.0 launches.

Beginning October 1st, the company will also increase its basic monthly service package from $14.99 to $15.99 at the time of customer subscription renewal, after what it described as five years of “consistent pricing”.

“These enhancements represent the next evolution in audio entertainment and together with the availability of Best Of programming from both the Sirius and XM platforms, will provide subscribers with more content, more control and a better listening experience", said president and CEO Mark Redmond, in the announcement.
