
TORONTO – Tapping into a growing trend of households that are cancelling their home phones, Rogers has announced an updated version of its VoIP solution that extends calling beyond computers to regular home phones and iPads. In addition, the Rogers One Number service will be offered to small businesses across Canada later this fall.

"Our goal has always been to simplify the way Canadians communicate; with the new updates to Rogers One Number we are providing an even more seamless communication experience for our customers."
Rogers One Number, launched in February, extended your Rogers wireless number to make unlimited Canada-wide voice calls and video calls to other Rogers One Number users from a computer using your wireless number. The service has been extended to the iPad and will launch soon for Android tablets as well. For a monthly fee you can now also connect your regular phone to a telephone adapter and use your wireless number to make calls using the Internet. Subscribers also get unlimited Canadian long distance and no daytime wireless minutes using their regular phone.

Small businesses will also be able to take advantage of the service when Rogers One Number for Business when it launches in October. The secure solution allows small businesses to stay connected on the go using their existing wireless number and computer.
