OBITUARY: Source Cable founder Jim Campbell

HAMILTON, ON – Source Cable founder James (Jim) Campbell has died. He was 92. Campbell, along with his son Dan, founded Source Cable (formerly Southmount Cable) in Hamilton in 1974 after seeing an opportunity in the future of cable television. In 1946, Jim also founded Day & Campbell Ltd. an autoclave block manufacturer, landscape and contractor supplier that is still going strong in the city. In addition, Jim was on the board of control for the City of Hamilton for over 20 years, plus served as Deputy Mayor for one term.
