OTTAWA - The federal government could make or break a positive Internet experience for Canadians, Michael Geist, University of Ottawa law professor and Canada Research Chair in Internet law and e-commerce, said at an event in Ottawa yesterday. Geist was speaking at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority’s (CIRA) Canadian Internet Forum 2012 where he noted that the federal government has tabled a number of pieces of legislation that could greatly affect how Canadians interact with the Internet in the future.
