WATERLOO, ON – Sandvine wrapped up 2011 on a low note after reporting a US$5.8 million net loss for its fiscal year ended November 30, 2011.
The network management solutions provider said Thursday that revenue for the year was $89.3 million, virtually unchanged from $89.6 million at the end of 2010. Fourth quarter revenue was $20.6 million, down 14% year-over-year, with a net loss of $3.6 million.
Approximately 51% of Sandvine’s total revenues this quarter came from North America (EMEA: 23%; APAC: 10%; CALA: 16%). Revenue by sales channel was 56% direct and 44% through reseller partners.
"We added 44 new customers in 2011 and have the largest and most diversified customer base in our industry”, said president and CEO Dave Caputo, in a statement. “We also offer the broadest portfolio of Network Policy Control solutions in the market. In 2012 our goal is to return to revenue growth and profitability by leveraging the value of our newest solutions for existing customers and continuing to add new customers across markets.”
