Mobile signal booster provides peak 2G, 3G and 4G performance in vehicles

TORONTO- Wilson Electronics says its latest 4G mobile signal booster, the Sleek 4G-C, provides an all-in-one solution for Canadians.

The Sleek 4G-C ensures strong signals in a vehicle for all cellular providers offering 2G, 3G and 4G service on 800 MHz, 1900 MHz and Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) 1700/2100 MHz frequencies says Wilson Electronics. Benefits include fewer dropped connections and no-service "dead zones," faster data transfer rates and improved battery life for wireless devices.

The Sleek 4G-C, with a suggested retail price of $129.95, will be on display at the Hitfar booth #524 at the Canadian Wireless Trade Show, Sept. 12 -13, in Toronto. While designed for use in a vehicle, the Sleek 4G-C can also be used indoors with the purchase of an optional accessory kit.

"The Sleek 4G-C allows cellular customers with devices that operate on virtually any Canadian frequency to enjoy the benefits of a strong, reliable signal," said Laine Matthews, Wilson's director of business development.

The Sleek 4G-C is designed to promote use of a Bluetooth headset or other hands-free device by those behind the wheel. The manufacturer claims it delivers more than 20 times the power of a typical cell phone signal alone, but weighs only 85 grams (three ounces) and measures just 6.4 x 11.4 x 6.4 centimeters (2.5 by 4.5 by 2.5 inches). The Sleek 4G-C will be available in the fourth quarter of 2012 from most Wilson resellers.

The unit features cell site protection technologies developed through cooperative effort between Wilson and several major cellular carriers that prevent the possibility of interference with any nearby cell tower.
