EDMONTON – Super Channel has inked a multi-year licensing and programming distribution pact with Starz Media Worldwide Distribution which includes the original series Magic City.
The agreement makes Super Channel the exclusive English pay television home for Magic City during the life of the series and its premium television run. Set in Miami’s Miramar Playa Hotel, the drama stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olga Kurylenko and Danny Huston alongside an ensemble cast including Steven Strait, Christian Cooke, Jessica Marais, Yul Vazquez, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Kelly Lynch and Elena Satine. The show will premiere in Canada on April 6, the same day as its U.S. broadcast.
The deal also covers more than a dozen movie titles including Beautiful Boy, Happythankyoumoreplease, Kill the Irishman, Meet Monica Velour, and Sinners and Saints.
