TORONTO – Teletoon Canada Inc. has announced that Cartoon Network and its late-night block Adult Swim are launching today in Canada.
Cartoon Network’s kids and family-friendly programming launched at 6 a.m. ET/PT today and will run daily from 6 am to 9 pm with Adult Swim airing from 9 pm onwards.
"Teletoon Canada has built a reputation as the hub for all animated and animation-related programming in Canada and today is a particularly special day for us as we expand our television family with the launch of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim," said Len Cochrane, President, TELETOON Canada Inc. Cartoon Network features a programming lineup for kids and families stacked with comedy shows such as Level Up, Regular Show and The Amazing World of Gumball from 6 a.m. ET/PT to 9 p.m. ET/PT. From 9 p.m. ET/PT onwards, Adult Swim offers up shows like Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, The Venture Bros. and Aqua Teen Hunger Force to young adult viewers.
The launch also includes online sites Cartoonnetwork.ca and adultswimcanada.com with 150 games and various quizzes.
