
TORONTO – Edison Research's Sean Ross will address delegates at Connection 2012 says The Ontario Association of Broadcasters (OAB). As Vice President of Music and Programming for Edison Research, Ross will present findings of recent research, entitled Radio’s Progress in the Digital Ad Space. He will share the study conducted with principals, account managers, planners and buyers at digital and general agencies, which analyzed perceptions and attitudes about radio. The study reveals participants’ feelings about, and interactions with, the digital offerings of AM/FM Radio companies as well as those with pure-play Internet radio companies.
Ross a 30-year industry veteran, was involved in launching Canada’s first, very successful, major-market English-language Oldies/Greatest Hits stations. He is also the author of the respected industry column, Ross On Radio, which now appears in Billboard’s Top 40 Update newsletter.
Connection 2012 will be held on Tuesday, November 6th in Toronto at the Westin Bristol Place Hotel, 950 Dixon Road in Toronto. The OAB fall conference is a full one-day conference packed with great speakers, Keynote Luncheon and Gala Awards dinner.
Keynote Luncheon speaker, Tom Pentefountas, Vice Chair Broadcasting, CRTC, will be providing an update on the CRTC’s activities. Pentefountas has been with the CRTC since April 2011 and with his legal background and on-air experience, he provides a unique perspective on the ever-changing broadcasting industry.
