Shaw TV revamps fall schedule with five new original series


CALGARY – From bucket lists to wedding proposals, Shaw TV is shaking up its community TV schedule by launching five new national shows as part of its fall lineup of local programming.

"We continue to deliver unique and diverse local community programming exclusively to our Shaw Cable customers," said Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications Inc. "This fall, viewers can look forward to compelling in-house and community-produced dramas that look to engage viewers like never before."

Make it Happen – Everyone has a dream and Shaw TV is making things happen for Canadians each weeknight at 8:30 p.m. Hosted By Canadian Olympic Silver Medalist Helen Upperton, it captures a unique bucket list of requests from bull riding, to crab fishing, to target shooting, as part of this innovative 13-part series.

Cooking with Fire – Get cooking in the kitchen with Canada's firefighters. Cooking with Fire pits squads against each other to see who can create the best dish and raise the most money for their charity. Cooking with Fire airs weeknights at 9:00 p.m.

The Proposal – The newest reality show on Shaw TV explores the drama and emotion of the wedding proposal – the anxiety, the preparations and the nerves. Each weeknight at 9:30 p.m., The Proposal takes viewers on an adventure with different couples, all leading up to one or the other popping the big question.

The Rush with Mike & Fiona – Vancouver's newest entertainment talk show is the ultimate package – entertaining, intelligent and interactive. Weeknights at 10:00 p.m., The Rush makes the viewer a guest, producer and co-host.

WHL Full On – Debuting October 29, WHL Full On is a 10-part series airing weeknights giving viewers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at life in the WHL. Exploring previously unknown elements of Canada's game, WHL Full On is a must-watch for any hockey fan.
