Bell Aliant expands FTTH to Edmundston

EDMUNDSTON, NB – Bell Aliant is investing $4.2 million to expand its fibre-to-the home (FTTH) network FibreOp to the more than 8,400 homes and businesses in Edmundston. The service is expected to be available in the area by this fall.  Bell Aliant said that it expects to spend approximately half a billion dollars on FTTH and pass more than 650,000 homes and businesses in Atlantic Canada by the end of 2012.
