MARKHAM – The Ontario Association of Broadcasters is now accepting entries for their annual community service awards to be presented during its gala awards dinner on November 6.
These awards acknowledge the generosity of broadcasters but also recognizes the creativity in creating a successful public service campaign, as the success of these causes often lies with the broadcaster’s ability to promote and encourage people. In a time when there are so many different and equally worthy causes, it is a very difficult task to create the perfect campaign or program that will encourage people to assist those in need.
Entries must be received by October 19 for campaigns that have run between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2012. Winning stations will be contacted the week of October 22, 2012.
To upload an entry, visit the OAB website and follow the prompts to the awards page.
