LAS VEGAS – Burlington, Ont.’s Evertz Microsystems is using this year’s NAB show to unveil Dreamcatcher, the company’s big move into the slow motion instant replay market.
The product is aimed at giving sports TV producers the most precise, highest-quality slo-mo replays – at about a 20% to 25% lower cost that other platforms. “This changes the way replay is done, said Mo Goyal, the company’s director of product marketing at the Evertz press conference Sunday afternoon.
Dreamcatcher will allow broadcasters to have a scalable and flexible product that can work with small productions through to the largest and perform using fewer operators, thereby saving money. “I can do more, with less,” added Goyal.
Dreamcatcher is just one of many new product reveals the Canadian manufacturer is showing off on the show floor this week.
