EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is calling for technical session proposals to be offered during Cable-Tec Expo 2012, which is set for October 16 – 19 in Orlando, Florida.
Proposals must be submitted to SCTE by Friday, May 18, 2012 and each abstract submission must be entered separately through the SCTE online submission process.
The program committee is particularly interested in abstracts addressing the topics within the categories of business services, capacity management, network & technical operations, smart energy management initiative (SEMI), engineering, and wireless/WiFi.
Interested presenters should submit a one-page abstract (300 words max.), identify track, and include topic heading, paper title, brief description of proposed session content, name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world tools that attendees can apply to their everyday work. Previously published papers and product-specific presentations will not be accepted.
Selected presentations will be announced by June 29 and participants will be required to complete and submit an electronic version of their supporting white paper and an associated PowerPoint presentation to be given at the event by August 3, 2012.
