TORONTO – Wireless newcomer Mobilicity today expanded its $35 talk-and-text plan to include unlimited province-wide calling and debuted “Multi-Minute Long-Distance Add-ons to make calling to countries like the Philippines, Jamaica, Iraq, Pakistan and the United Kingdom more affordable.
"Canadians are craving more value in long-distance," said president and CEO Dave Dobbin in a press release. "We strive to deliver the best pay-per-use long distance rates in the industry to over 200 countries and unlimited long-distance offerings that our customers love. And while it’s not possible to provide unlimited long-distance everywhere, we have come up with ways to make calling to more countries more affordable."
Mobilicity Multi-Minute Long-Distance Add-ons are available as a $20 add-on to subscribers. The new bundles round out the company’s multi-pronged global long-distance offerings, which include very competitive pay-per-use long-distance rates and $20 monthly unlimited long-distance add-ons
The company also announced a number of Back-To-School promotions Wednesday, too, including Monthly Cash-Back My Wallet Credit, where customers who activate on Mobilicity plans $35/month and above before September 6, 2010 will receive recurring monthly credits for the lifetime of their Mobilicity account ranging from $5 to $15 a month.
The company also said it will soon launch a Family Plan that will save up to 20% for up to four family members.
