PPM data knocks CBC Radio One from top spot

TORONTO – As widely anticipated, the portable people meters (PPM) have shaken up the radio ratings for some of Canada’s largest radio markets.According to PPM data for March 1 to May 30, 2010, from BBM, CBC Radio One has been toppled from its long held spot atop the rankings in the markets of Vancouver and Toronto.Corus’ news talk CKNW led the Vancouver market this Spring with a 14.3% share, followed by two of CTVglobemedia’s stations: CHQM FM with 9.1% and CFBT FM with 6.9%.
