VANCOUVER – Astral Radio’s Virgin Radio Vancouver and AM 650 are set reduce their paper consumption by 95%, thanks to an Australian invention called Workflow.
Workflow, North America’s first-ever paperless radio production system, is a centralized, cloud computer program that systemizes all the tasks a radio station would normally do on a day-to-day basis, from commercial development through to station web content.
“We are thrilled to implement this type of technology,” said Brad Phillips, VP of British Columbia operations, in a statement. “Not only does this new system allow us to reduce our paper consumption by 95%, it also systemizes our processes, driving project efficiency and ensuring that nothing gets missed along the way. We think this will revolutionize the way radio stations operate.”
