Mobilicity’s mobile download store includes “culturally relevant downloads”

TORONTO – Mobilicity says that its new mobile content portal has something for everyone.

The customizable, mobile download store allows customers to personalize the digital skin of their Mobilicity phones with three distinct homepages, each providing a direct link to news sources from Canada (CTV, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star) and around the world (Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post, Shanghai Daily, Reuters India, The Times of India).  Content also includes games, ringtones and wallpapers from the music industry’s Top 40, plus Asian and Bollywood pop stars.

"We live in one of the most multicultural cities in the world”, said VP of marketing, Sara Moore, in a statement. “We’re delighted to offer culturally relevant downloads and complement our unlimited overseas long-distance add-ons to East Asia and South Asia."

Customers can browse Mobilicity’s content free of charge. Payment, which starts at $2.50 per download, is not required until a user approves the download charge, and customers must first add funds into a dedicated, personal pay-per-use depository called ‘My Wallet’.
