TORONTO – CBC’s 2010 fall television schedule seems to be banking on comedy and reality programming.
The network has brought back its Battle of the Blades reality show, moved style diva Debbie Travis to prime time, and will debut a new half-hour comedy based on the popular Canadian movie Men With Brooms.
“We are going into the Fall 2010 season with many of the strongest, highest-rated, most celebrated shows in the history of this network and in the history of Canadian television,” said Kirstine Stewart, GM of CBC Television, in a statement. “And we are proud that so many of this country’s brightest new stars and legendary icons are part of the on-going CBC legacy.”
Other returning favourites include The Ron James Show, Being Erica, The Tudors, Rick Mercer Report, Dragons’ Den and the 50th season of The Nature of Things.
