TORONTO – The smart phone market in Canada just got a little more crowded.
Alternative communications carrier Primus Telecommunications announced Tuesday that it has added smart phones such as the HTC Magic+ and Nokia 6790 to its lineup, and has expanded its wireless service area to provide 94% of Canadians access to its voice, text and data packages.
"Canadian consumers are among the most connected and tech savvy in the world so we wanted to provide the latest technology to ensure their mobile needs are met," said Rob Warden, VP of residential marketing and sales, in the announcement. "The addition of smart phones, as well as the latest in affordable talk, text and data plans, further bolsters Primus Canada’s growing wireless offering and underscores our on-going commitment to keeping Canadians connected."
Both smart phones are available through the company’s ‘More Talk and Surf’ plans, which range from $50 – $55 per month. Primus said that it has also added new ‘More Talk and Text’ plans, which start at $15 per month.
