Mobile app company is ‘Simply Good’

TORONTO – Simply Good wants to “shake up” the world of interactive mobile applications.

Using image capture/upload capabilities, GPS technology and social connection, the Toronto-based firm said that consumer engagement through mobile technology can open up “boundary-shifting brand-engagement opportunities” for marketers.

Its work was recently featured at the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche contemporary art event in Toronto last October, where smart phone users were able to obtain exhibit information simply by snapping a photo from the printed guides or posters. The app also allowed visitors to rate exhibits, vote for their favourites, obtain location-specific information and recommendations on exhibits, and access photo collections and discussion forums.

"The mobile world has evolved at an incredible rate and businesses are beginning to pursue the inherent value of integrating mobile applications within their marketing efforts," said Bill McLean, co-founder and Chief Market Guy, in a press release. "At Simply Good, we’re leading the way in creating new opportunities for businesses to engage with consumers by using integrated mobile technology. This delivers more relevance of location-based content for the user."
