Bell introduces new client intelligence tool

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Bell has unveiled a new user testing facility in Toronto where clients can secretly watch potential customers interact with their website and mobile applications.

Called Bell Web Solutions, the usability lab uses one-way glass and monitors to show spikes in emotions and track the time that eyes are focused on the screen. Armed with that information, Bell clients can then refine their products to "enhance the user experience and achieve the desired business results", the press release said.

"We track eye movements and use emotional response recorders to identify precisely what grabs people’s attention on a web page – and, just as important, what they completely ignore," said Gilmond Lapointe, regional GM of professional services for Bell Enterprises, in the release. "Our usability experts are world-class among the best on the planet, and when they add these new insights to widely accepted metrics for Web usability, it opens up a whole new world of client intelligence for our customers."
