TSN takes its show on the road

TORONTO – In celebration of its upcoming 25th anniversary, TSN’s flagship sports news program Sportscentre will be going on a road trip to broadcast live from ten communities across Canada over ten days this summer.

Communities from coast-to-coast can nominate their town as a broadcast location, and for a chance to win one of ten $25,000 “community refreshes” to be used for improvements to a facility in the prize-winning communities.

French-language sportscast Sports30, which airs on RDS, will also join the tour and broadcast live from any winning Francophone communities.

TSN and RDS will announce 20 finalists as selected by a panel of judges on July 1, and the ten winning tour stops will then be decided by on-line voting.

Called ‘The Kraft Celebration Tour’, the campaign will be supported by a multi-faceted marketing campaign using TSN and RDS broadcasts and on-line platforms, as well as media throughout the CTVglobemedia family.  In-store displays will also be set-up in targeted grocery stores across Canada, and an official Facebook fan page will also support the tour.
