WINNIPEG – MTS will be a presenting sponsor of Manitoba Homecoming 2010’s ‘World’s Largest Social’ on May 15 as thousands of Manitobans are expected to set a world record when the traditional celebration takes place simultaneously in over 60 communities across the province.
Each community’s social will be unique, featuring live music, silent auctions, and traditional social food, and numerous Manitoba celebrities – including Olympic champion and MTS spokesperson Cindy Klassen – will also be on hand to take part in the festivities.
“As Manitoba’s hometown telecommunications provider, being a presenting sponsor of the World’s Largest Social and a presenting partner of the Manitoba Homecoming 2010 initiative is a natural fit for MTS," said president Kelvin Shepherd, in a statement. "The social is an important part of Manitoba’s cultural fabric and this one promises to bring together thousands of Manitobans from across Manitoba and around the globe."
