NAB Show adds 70 new exhibitors, 3D pavilions

WASHINGTON, DC – More than 70 new exhibitors, including Electronic Arts, Phillips 3D Solutions and 3ality Digital, will join 1,600 companies on the show floor at the 2009 NAB Show, held April 18-23 in Las Vegas.

Also new this year are two pavilions dedicated to new 3D technologies, and the latest developments in mobile technology. The Content Commerce Pavilion, designed to facilitate business-to-business information sharing and innovation, also debuts this year.

Japanese broadcaster NHK will showcase its Ultra High Definition TV technology, and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology will demonstrate its latest discoveries in holographic television and 3D high definition transmission technologies.

"The NAB Show has been the leading electronic media event for more than 80 years, showcasing every stage of the content lifecycle, from creation to consumption," said Chris Brown, NAB executive vice president of conventions and business operations, in a statement. "Each year we see new exhibitors from a variety of media platforms, and we look forward to learning about the unique opportunities that these new companies will bring to this year’s Show."

And as usual, Cartt.ca will be there too with regular reports.
