Unionized employees accept new agreement from MTS Allstream

TORONTO – MTS Allstream employees of CAW Local 2000 voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new two-year collective agreement that they say resists concessions and provides greater job security.Approximately 550 workers, who are mostly technicians or in administrative positions in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary, voted 82% in support of the new contract on March 30, 2010."This agreement will provide stability for our membership while MTS restructures its business," said CAW national representative Joel Fournier, in a statement.www.caw.cawww.mtsallstream.com
