TORONTO – ACTRA Toronto has elected Heather Allin as its new president for a two-year term.
Allin is a 15 year member of ACTRA Toronto, serving as councilor and vice-president. She was also part of ACTRA’s bargaining committee for both the film and television agreement, and the commercial agreement.
"I am honoured by the confidence of my colleagues," said Allin in a statement. "I look forward to continuing the good work of this council. I will work hard to improve performer’s rights and the development of a strong Canadian film and television industry, ensuring that Canadian shows are seen on our television screens and in our movie theatres."
