CTAM chooses Hall of Fame nominees


ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) has selected five nominees for induction into the CTAM Hall of Fame, which honours the industry’s “finest and most influential marketing campaigns and initiatives”.

The 2009 nominees are:

– Comedy Central: marketing of South Park;
– Fox News Channel: "We Report. You Decide." campaign;
– Time Warner Cable: marketing of Road Runner;
– Turner Broadcasting System: Brand Marketing for TNT (We Know Drama) and TBS (Very Funny); and
– World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.: PPV Events Marketing.

Since its inception in 1997, the CTAM Hall of Fame has honoured campaigns that have “exemplified extraordinary marketing creativity and success”.  Qualifying work must have been launched a minimum of five years prior to the date of induction, and must demonstrate “a powerful and lasting impact on both the nominated company and the cable industry”, the press release detailed.

The inductee will be announced during the CTAM Summit, being held October 25-27, 2009 in Denver.
