MONTREAL – Videotron is bumping up its Internet download limits in response to customer demand.
Effective March 1st, the company will increase its maximum speeds from 70GB to 100GB for its ‘Ultimate Speed Internet 30’ package, and from 100GB to 125GB for its ‘Ultimate Speed Internet 50’ package.
Videotron said that is also upping the speed of its basic Internet service from 600 Kbps to 1 Mbps, and will phase out its ‘Extreme High Speed’ service and ‘Extreme Plus High Speed’ service.
“The increase in download capacities for our Ultimate Speed Internet 30 and 50 services show that we have been listening to our customers,” said Myrianne Collin, VP of marketing for the consumer sector, in the announcement. “We are maintaining our leadership in the Québec market by offering customers state-of-the-art technology. With the capacity upgrades for the two Internet access services, Videotron presents an unmatched selection of technological offerings, a wide spectrum of services designed to meet the growing needs of connected families in which several users share a single Internet connection. Our service offerings are now more complete and even more advantageous for customers.”
