Blesser to keynote NAB broadcast engineering conference


WASHINGTON – The National Association of Broadcasters has tapped digital audio pioneer Barry Blesser to deliver the opening keynote speech at the NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference on April 11, 2010.

Blesser, who is one of the founders and the director of engineering at 25-Seven Systems, has served as a technical and management consultant for the past 40 years to more than 50 high-tech companies. He will provide insight on the broadcast engineering profession and its next generation of leaders.

"Dr. Barry Blesser is one of the true original pioneers in digital audio technology," said NAB’s SVP of science and technology Lynn Claudy, in the announcement.  "As leading broadcast engineers, media professionals and technicians from around the world gather for the NAB Show’s engineering conference this spring, we look forward to hearing Dr. Blesser’s insightful thoughts on the future of the broadcast engineering profession."

The NAB Show is scheduled for April 10-15 in Las Vegas (exhibits open April 12).  It is the world’s largest electronic media show covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums.
