TORONTO – TLN Telelatino has launched a national promotional campaign in support of the Red Cross’ efforts to assist those affected by the recent earthquake in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
“Italian Canadians and Canadians across the country are asking themselves how they can help those in need and are anxious to donate,” said TLN president Aldo Di Felice, in the announcement. “We are confident that agencies that are in the day to day business of providing support to areas in need of emergency assistance like the Canadian and Italian Red Cross will use all donations to quickly help those in need.”
Canadians wishing to help the relief effort for L’Aquila, Italy can make a financial donation on-line at www.redcross.ca, by calling 1-800-418-1111, or by contacting their local Canadian Red Cross office. The 24-hour toll free line accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Cheques should be made payable to the Canadian Red Cross earmarked “Italian Earthquake” and mailed to the Canadian Red Cross National Office, 170 Metcalfe Street, Suite 300, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 2P2.
All monies raised in Canada will go directly to the Canadian Red Cross’ sister agency in Italy, the announcement said.
