TORONTO – Score Media has launched its own sports application for BlackBerry smart phones called ScoreMobile.
The free application will give fans up-to-the minute scores and stats from the major leagues, as well as access to live blogs, previews, recaps and fantasy player stats, the press release detailed.
"With an average 10 million page views per month, we’ve been very successful connecting with sports fans," said Dale Fallon, director of mobile, in the release. "This application has been built from the ground up for BlackBerry smart phones and we are delighted to be bringing the unique ScoreMobile experience to the BlackBerry community."
The company partnered with mobile solutions provider Five Mobile on the application.
In other company news, the sports network has picked up the Canadian broadcasting rights for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, live from Sweden from June 15 -29, 2009.
