Cybersecurity front and centre at ITU Telecom World conference

GENEVA – Attendees at this year’s ITU Telecom World conference had a first hand look at the world's most advanced system against global cyberattacks.With cybersecurity a key theme at this year's event, the International Multilateral Partnership against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) demonstrated the inner workings of its new global response centre, which was set up in Malaysia earlier this year to proactively track and defend against cyberthreats.The centre's alert and response capabilities including an early warning system that enables IMPACT members to identify and head-off potential and imminent attacks before they can inflict damage on national networks.
