EastLink heads west

HALIFAX – EastLink continues to expand its network and customer base with the re-branding of Persona’s western systems.

In the coming months, Persona customers in Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba will be introduced to the EastLink name and will receive their communications and entertainment services under the EastLink brand.

“As we enhance our presence in Western Canada and continue to invest in EastLink’s modern fibre optic network, we look forward to delivering an enhanced range of entertainment and communications products and services with the network reliability for which EastLink is known in other markets," said president and COO Deborah Shaffner, in the announcement.

The company confirmed that it will roll out EastLink telephone and bundles, more high definition TV channels and video-on-demand programming, and faster Internet speeds.

EastLink’s parent company Bragg Communications purchased Persona in September, 2007.  It re-branded Persona’s Ontario and Quebec systems in April.
