MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – Google officially unveiled its new Nexus One mobile phone Tuesday at an invitation only event at its California-based headquarters.The slim, touch screen phone, which runs Google's Android operating system, was built in partnership with Taiwanese manufacturer HTC. It will be sold via Google's website and initially be available on T-mobile and Verizon in the U.S. for $530, or subsidized for $180 with a 2 year mandatory contract. Vodafone will offer the Nexus One in Europe. The announcement contained no indication as to when the Nexus One may be available in Canada.www.google.com/phone
