Star Choice launches The Big Ten Network

CALGARY – Star Choice has added The Big Ten Network to its sports lineup.

The U.S.-based network covers the Big Ten Conference and its 11 member institutions, like Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue and Penn State, offering live coverage of football, men’s and women’s basketball, and other NCAA-sponsored sports. It also shows news, highlights and other university-produced campus programming.

The standard definition channel launched last week, and the HD version will follow on December 16. Star Choice is offering both in free preview mode for the month of December.

"What a week for sports fans," said Jim Cummins, vice-president of Star Choice in a press release. "We are excited to offer Star Choice sports fans action from the oldest Division I conference in the U.S. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."
