CANADIAN WOMEN in Communications (CWC) has issued a call for nominations for its 2010 Annual Awards.
This year’s award categories are:
– CWC Woman of the Year, which recognizes an outstanding woman at the executive level (vice president, president or CEO), who has made a significant contribution to any sector of the communications industry throughout her career, and who has contributed materially to the advancement of women within the industry.
– CWC Employer of the Year, which is awarded to an organization in the converged communications industry (which includes the IT sector), that has an outstanding history, and/or has demonstrated leadership, in the promotion of women and has supported women’s advancement within the organization, particularly in non-traditional roles.
– CWC Leadership Excellence, which celebrates women of achievement who have, in recent years, distinguished themselves as leaders and also contributed to the industry through their accomplishments in one of the following categories: Mentor, Innovator, Trailblazer, Technology Innovator, Emerging Leader, Champion of Women’s Advancement or CWC leader.
A panel of judges will select a number of Leadership Excellence award recipients.
