HGTV springs into new campaign


TORONTO – Spring has sprung, and HGTV marked the occasion with the start of a new spring image marketing campaign.

Targeting Adults 25-54, the campaign plays up HGTV’s renovation and design programming.  One piece of creative displays screwdrivers growing up from the ground as though they are spring flowers, while another features a series of multi-coloured paint chips blooming on tree branches in place of budding leaves, both with the headline, “spring is here. HGTV”.

“Spring is traditionally a popular time for renovation as people begin to consider updating and brightening up their spaces", said Solange Bernard, director of marketing for Canwest’s lifestyle channels, in the press release. ”HGTV’s multi-platform campaign reinforces that HGTV is the number one source for entertaining and inspiring spring content, offering viewers fresh new stylish designs and renovation ideas.”

The four week campaign utilizes print, bus kings, and horizontal billboards in Toronto, Vancouver, Kitchener, London and Ottawa. The same creative has been incorporated into on-air elements on the network, while Spring-themed on-air promos will air across all Canwest specialty channels and on Global.
