TORONTO – In memory of Ted Rogers, one of the most important and influential entrepreneurs in Canadian media, TV Ontario will present an encore of one of the last broadcast interviews Rogers gave.
The interview with Allan Gregg airs Friday December 5 at 10 p.m. on Allan Gregg in Conversation. (The program repeats Saturday December 6 at 4:05 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Sunday December 7 at 11:40 p.m.)
In the interview, taped October 6 2008, Rogers discusses his autobiography, "Relentless," in which he explains how he built Rogers Communications into one of the largest companies in Canadian history. He also talks candidly about what drove him to succeed, from the childhood tragedy of his father’s sudden death to his years as a pioneer of cable TV and wireless communications.
"I admired Ted’s unrelenting drive and optimism," says TVO CEO Lisa de Wilde. "He always punctuated his vision with ‘the best is yet to come,’ and never failed to come up with a new and innovative solution to any problem, no matter its size or scope. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him."
