BNN overhauls web site

TORONTO – CTVglobemedia’s business channel, BNN, announced today the relaunch of its web site.

New features on the site include breaking business news, comprehensive coverage of global market activity from a Canadian perspective and a new video player that will hold a more extensive library of BNN interviews and reports.

The specialty service also announced today a new contest called “The BNN $25,000 Challenge.” Viewers are encouraged to go to BNN.ca and answer daily questions for the chance to win a grand prize of $25,000, to be deposited in an E*TRADE Canada account, or one of three weekly prizes valued at $5,000 (or the cash equivalent). The questions centre on content found on BNN.ca. “The BNN $25,000 Challenge” runs from May 26 to June 13, with the winner being announced during the week of July 7.

“The newly revamped BNN.ca also boasts blogs brimming with valuable insight and timely business information from BNN’s stable of highly-regarded reporters, commentators and analysts including Kim Parlee, Andy Bell, Amanda Lang, Jon Erlichman, Michael Hainsworth, Marty Cej and Niall McGee,” reads the press release.

“Our viewers expect to find breaking news and up-to-the-minute international business information from BNN, and after testing out these new features over the past month we are confident that this revamped site will enhance that service,” said Jack Fleischmann, general manager of BNN. “Through new features like our blogs, viewers will also become better acquainted with their favourite BNN personalities.”
