PEGGY’S COVE – EastLink said today that construction is now complete on a new communications network which will deliver communications and entertainment services to West Dover and Peggy’s Cove.
In October 2007, EastLink was selected by the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) to provide high-speed Internet service to the small communities of West Dover and Peggy’s Cove. EastLink invested $250,000 to support the Internet expansion and the launch of telephone and cable services in the area.
"EastLink believes the key to continued economic growth and opportunity results from access to broadband. Through a partnership with the HRM, the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia, we are providing the fastest Internet service available in Nova Scotia to these communities," said Dan McKeen, co-CEO at EastLink, in a press release. "We are also delivering value, and choice to residents and businesses through the launch of our telephone and digital cable services."
