Hamilton Tiger-Cats games to be simulcast on CHML and Y108 FM

HAMILTON – Corus Radio’s Y108 will be the first Canadian FM station to simulcast a CFL football game when it picks up the feed of Hamilton Tiger-Cats games from brother station CHML this coming season.

Corus Radio announced Thursday it has extended its broadcast agreement with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to continue as the team’s exclusive radio broadcaster. CHML has been the voice of the Tiger-Cats for the past 40 years.

CFL legend and Canadian Football Hall of Famer Ron Lancaster joins play-by-play announcer Rick Zamperin this season as colour analyst.

“To be able to extend our long term relationship with Corus and CHML is tremendously exciting both to the organization and our fans,” said Tiger-Cats President Scott Mitchell. “We bring the best and highest quality media coverage in the CFL to all of our fans in TigerTown across Southern Ontario and we’ve added to that with the only radio simulcast in the league on Y108.”

CHML will also be premiering The Casey Printers Show, featuring Hamilton Ticats quarterback Casey Printers. This weekly, hour-long live program will feature game analysis, insight and behind-the-scenes coverage as Printers talks with listeners who call in. The show will air every Monday at 7 p.m., starting June 23.

The pre-season kick-off airs on June 12 and broadcasts of the regular season start on June 26.
