Nitin Kawale appointed president of Cisco Canada

TORONTO – Nitin Kawale has been appointed president of Cisco Canada. He’s replacing Terry Walsh, who after five years as head of Cisco Canada, is returning to his native Australia.

“Cisco is extremely proud of the accomplishments of our Canadian operations,” said Rob Lloyd, senior vice-president of U.S., Canada and Japan. “Over the past five years our Canadian business has tripled, making it one of the most successful Cisco operations in the world.”

In 2006, Kawale was chosen to lead Cisco Canada’s Enterprise and Public Sector operations, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of Cisco Canada’s enterprise and public sector market strategy.

His previous Cisco roles include supporting Global Sales Strategy and Planning, and head of sales and operations for the Global Mobile Vertical team, Worldwide Service Provider Group.
