TORONTO – Deborah Lewis has been named as vice-president of communications – television at CanWest MediaWorks, and Jamie Schouela has been promoted to vice-president of marketing strategy at Global Television.
Lewis will be responsible for spearheading external and internal communication efforts for all CanWest conventional and specialty TV networks. With over 15 years of industry experience, she has been involved in the development of communications programs for national and international corporations, including Inside Entertainment, FQ and SIR Magazines, Wire Image, Diesel and Hugo Boss. Most recently, she led the communication divisions at event management company McNabb Roick.
In his expanded role, Schouela will oversee the advertising, on-air promotion and publicity strategies for Global entertainment programming, Global National and Global News Ontario. Since joining CanWest MediaWorks in 2005 as director of advertising and promotion strategy for Global, he has led numerous successful campaigns including the launch of Deal or No Deal Canada, Are You Smarter Than A Canadian Fifth Grader?, Heroes World Tour: Toronto, and several innovative network fall launch promotions.
